Heather in Zagreb

Heather came to Zagreb to visit Martina Abramovic, a girl she met in 1994 to whom she donated her prosthetic limb. If it wasn't for Heather, Martina probably wouldn't be walking today. Martina is 20 now and Heather is helping Martina again. She is arranging for Dr. Jan Ertl from the US to come and perform a revision amputation. He will hopefully come to Zagreb at the beginning of December. Heather also bought Martina an English language course and will fund her private language lessons. That should help her find a job. This is their first meeting since 1994, but they have been communicating via e-mail.

Heather also visited a charity called Animal Friends and spent an hour with them. Animal Friends President, Luka Oman, said how delighted they are with Heather. He emphasized what a great person she is and all the great ideas she gave them for their future work.
